Jamo Unveils Enhanced Custom Flat Grille Series

INDIANAPOLIS (September 8, 2011) — Jamo, a Klipsch Group, Inc. brand and European audio pioneer, today announces the unveiling of the aesthetically-enhanced, easy-to-install Jamo Custom Flat Grille (FG) speakers. The new 600 and 400 Custom product lines, consisting of 18 architectural models total, are designed for installers who want to save time and money and consumers who want superior sound from a discreet built-in speaker.

The recently enhanced Jamo Custom FG series is both a designer and audiophile's dream. Offering an array architectural in-wall, in-ceiling, LCR and surround speakers, the series is ideal for multi-room stereo and/or home theater applications. Jamo core technologies, such as Decoupled Tweeter Technology (DTT), WaveGuide, Hard Conical Cones (HCC) and solid aluminum center plugs are all found in these Custom models.

Quick, easy installation is also a key component of the lines. Each speaker features a one-piece baffle and a unique bridge design that serves as a handle to hold the speaker in place during attachment. The newly designed white, extremely low-profile magnetic grilles snap into place over the baffle, making the speakers disappear into any living environment while leaving a lasting sonic impression.

"Keeping with the distinguished Jamo design principles, it was important we contrive a Custom series that presents elite products for those with both an impression-seeking eye and ear? said Glen Fuller, director of brand management for Jamo and Mirage. "This new series embodies the true essence of the brand in offering strategically designed products that surpass all expectations relating to audio performance, as well as aesthetic.?

The 600 FG lineup includes the IW 606 FG, IW 608 FG, IW 625 LCR FG, IW 626 LCR FG and IW 606 SUR FG in-wall models; in-ceiling speakers include the IC 606 FG, IC 608 FG and IC 610 FG as well as the IC 608 LCR FG, IC 610 LCR FG and IC 610 SUR FG.

Every 600 model features DTT silk dome tweeters for exceptional vibration-free performance and woofers with high-end fiberglass/cotton honeycomb/fiberglass composite drivers that achieve excellent vertical sound dispersion. Also, on the IW 606 FG and IW 608 FG, you'll find Jamo's SoundAngle technology, which makes it possible to angle the sound (30 degrees) downward. This is ideal for when you want to place your speakers high above the listening position.

The 400 FG line includes the IW 406 FG, IW 408 FG and IW 425 LCR FG in-walls; the IC 406 FG, IC 408 FG, IC 410 FG and IC 408 LCR FG make up the in-ceiling lineup. These products, which replace the A2 series, feature high-performance titanium dome tweeters and ultra-durable Kevlar® woofers. Also, the IW 406 FG and IW 408 FG feature the unique SoundAngle technology as described above.

The Custom 600 FG series speakers are priced from $849 to $1299 a pair and the Custom 400 FG series speakers from $649 to $899 a pair (U.S. MSRP). All models are currently available through Jamo distributors.
