Danish Design Videos
London's 2012 HOME interior
design show got 2012 design trends off to a quick and stylish start by featuring an inspiring array of
quality interior accessories, lighting and furniture from hundreds of the most wonderful design companies in
the UK and Europe.
The key takeaway from London's 2012 HOME interior design show? Danish design has become the style for the 21st century.
As devotees of Danish design, this is a simple affirmation of style trends Jamo has long embraced.
The HOME show ran for three days during the middle of January and was one of the first major interior design shows of this year. HOME, along with other similar trade shows, gives consumers and the media a great indicator of what future trends will be in design.
At the trade show, which draws buyers from big design and interior stores, it's estimated by Guardian writer Huma Qureshi that more than 25 percent of the exhibitors displaying their wares were Scandinavian (Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish).
That means that a large portion of those wares on display featured beautiful-but-practical, new-but-retro Danish designs.
"Danish design is clean and honest, the colours are complimentary -- less is more, and everything is functional," HOME attendee Mette Breindahl from the Danish design company Ferm Living told the Guardian.
These Danish design principles are exhibited by Jamo's speaker lines, which are designed for aesthetics as much as audio superiority. Our products, like the S 606 HCS 3 Home Cinema System or P 102 Personal Audio System, offer remarkable sound quality with their high-tech audio design, as well as as stylish, clean looks that integrate seamlessly into your home.
Other trendy flashes may pop up and dissipate over 2012 and the coming years. But Jamo's high-quality sound and timeless designs never go out of style.
