Design
With the development of the C 400 series, the two high-end members of the Jamo Concert family, C 60 and C 80, have been joined by a powerful little brother. The C 400 series delivers true value for money and has a lot to offer music lovers and film enthusiasts alike.

The design of the C 400 makes it clearly recognizable as a member of the Concert family. Not only is C 400 a highly musical speaker system with unrivalled power handling, the entire series of speakers is beautifully constructed and has many unique design features. For example, the series is well known for its characteristic sandwiched front baffle, which contributes to its visual identity and to the cabinets’ acoustic properties. The C 400 SUR also features an exclusive dipolar surround design, which is normally available only in larger, more expensive systems.

The C 400-series is cleverly constructed in a modular format, allowing you to build your system in phases. For example you can start with the 2-channel solution, using a pair of our three-way, floor-standing speakers, the C 407. Later on you can then supplement your system with a JAMO SUB 250 and turn it in to a powerful 2.1-system. The C 400CEN center-speaker adds superior dialogue channel reproduction with movies, while a pair of the C 400SUR dipolar surround-speakers completes the cinematic experience.

Technology
The C 400 CEN is a feature-packed 2-way bass reflex, shielded speaker that uses two 4-inch woofers and a 1-inch DTT (Decoupled Tweeter Technology) tweeter to deliver remarkably accurate sound, tailored to its compact low-profile cabinet. DTT is a mounting system specially developed by Jamo.
 
One of the biggest challenges when designing speakers is preventing unwanted cabinet vibrations from clouding or coloring the sound. High frequencies are particularly susceptible. This problem is solved using DTT. By decoupling the tweeter from the rest of the loudspeaker, vibrations transmitted from the front baffle to the tweeter are reduced by more than 20dB, resulting in an uncommonly detailed and realistic reproduction of high frequencies.

The shielded design of the speaker ensures that the C 400CEN center channel will not interfere with traditional CRT-style televisions. It is also a perfect match for the newest high-performance flatscreens, with a design that compliments them beautifully.
